Welcome to karenbairdtinner.com, my portfolio in which I gather examples of the work that I do as a student, a counselor-in-training, and as a survivor-advocate for those navigating the choppy waters of Intimate Partner Violence. I am a MS in Mental Health Counseling graduate student, a member of Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic & Professional Honor Society International, and a member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of North Carolina (LPCANC) and the North Carolina Counseling Association (NCCA). My theoretical orientation lies with Person-Centered, Gestalt, and Humanistic Psychology, and among my primary interests are Women’s Issues, Trauma, and Psychological First Aid, along with Narrative therapy, Drama therapy, and Hypnotherapy.
